Dear Helen:
Thank you for contacting my office expressing support for investigating President Bush and considering impeachment because you believe he deceived the American public about the need to use force against Iraq. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views with me.
I supported the President's decision to use force against Iraq and do not support impeachment.
Despite agreements among the international intelligence community, Republican and Democrat lawmakers, and both the Clinton and Bush Administrations that Saddam Hussein possessed WMDs, stockpiles of these weapons were not found.
I do not believe Presidents Clinton or Bush lied about the threat of WMDs. The President's decision, supported by most of Congress, including both of Connecticut's senators, was based on intelligence that turned out to be incorrect. The question is whether the United States should have given Saddam more time to prove he had destroyed his weapons. President Bush felt we had waited long enough, and I supported his decision to use force.
As Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, I've held more than 60 hearings on the terrorist threat -- 22 of them prior to September 11, 2001. There was no doubt in my mind on that fateful day, and there is no doubt in my mind today, that Saddam Hussein gave comfort and support to those who would destroy us and that for too long we failed to insist on the enforcement of United Nations' two resolutions governing Iraq's conduct. The bottom line is, Saddam Hussein needed to be removed from power, and the Bush Administration finally did so.
I am very concerned about the violence in Iraq and the welfare of our troops. As Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, I have made ten trips to Iraq because I want to learn first hand about the conditions there. These trips allow me to make an assessment of our operations in Iraq, independent of the Administration or the press; to make recommendations to the Administration on ways to improve; and advocate our positions to the Iraqis. It is clear to me while significant mistakes have been made and progress in Iraq has been slow and uneven, progress is being made.
We all know mistakes were made. We did not prevent the looting that took place when coalition forces first entered Iraq. It is clear we should not have disbanded their entire government, army, border patrol or police. The Department of Defense made grave errors by not procuring enough protective gear or armored vehicles for our soldiers. But it is vitally important to the future peace and prosperity of the Middle East and the entire world that the United States and its coalition partners fulfill their commitment to stabilizing Iraq before we withdraw troops.
Unfortunately, the Administration has done a very poor job of explaining to the American people our exit strategy.
The United States' strategy is to assist the Iraqis in creating a secure environment so they can develop their new democratic government and defend that government. American forces can be reduced when enough Iraqi police, border patrol and military personnel can take their place and their new government is fully functioning.
To support our efforts in training an effective Iraqi security force, I voted for H.R. 1268, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief, which passed the House by a vote of 368 to 58 and was signed into law by the President on May 11. This legislation provides $5.7 billion to train Iraqi police, military and border control agents. The bottom line is Iraqis want to defend their own country, and I strongly support the United States' commitment to ensuring that in addition to training, they have the tools and manpower necessary to do so.
The establishment of a new Iraqi government is progressing well. In June 2004, the U.S. transferred power to a sovereign interim government. In January 2005, elections were held, a President and Prime Minister were named, a transitional national assembly was formed and members were selected to write Iraq's new constitution. This Constitution was approved by a national referendum on October 15 with 63 percent of all adults voting and 79 percent of them supporting the new constitution. On December 15, 2005, new national elections were held with approximately 70 percent of those eligible to vote exercising that right and privilege.
You may be interested to know the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats, and International Relations has held several hearings on troop protection. Working through the Committee I will continue to conduct oversight on this important matter and pressure the Department of Defense to do a better job ensuring our troops have everything they need.
Our military's role in removing Saddam Hussein from power and ending his regime was highly successful, but the task of winning the peace and rebuilding Iraq should have been placed in the hands of the State Department much sooner instead of keeping it with the Department of Defense. Had this been done the looting would have been confronted and they would not have eliminated the Iraqi army, border patrol and police. Had the military remained focused on capturing the remaining elements of Saddam's regime and fighting terrorists, had the State Department been called upon to take a greater role in the reconstruction efforts, and had Congress asserted a greater oversight role granted to it by our founding fathers, I believe the creation of a new Iraq would have proceeded without such resistance and turmoil.

PROTEST RALLY against the DENIAL of the PEOPLE'S RIGHT to TRIAL BY JURY by CORRUPT JUDGES
On Monday, 30th January, 2006 at 8:30 am in Queen's Square, Sydney, Australia, at the northern end of Hyde Park and in front of the Law Courts Building, there will be a Protest Rally on the occasion of the Judges parading in public to celebrate the "Commencement of the Law Term" when they dress in all their robes and wigs to attend services at St. Mary's cathedral at 9:00am and later at the St. James's Church at 10:30 am.

Everyone ordinary Australian who has a Passion for Truth, Justice, Freedom and Democracy is strenuously urged to be in attendance in Queen's Square. All the victims of the Family Court or any Court where they have not been told that they must give their "clear and unequivocal consent to be without a Jury" and that in the absense of that consent "the Court has no jurisdiction to proceed summarily", should make the effort to be there on that Monday because it is the only day of the year that they will have to look 100+ Judges in the face and say, "LET RIGHT BE DONE".

Dear Helen:
Thank you for contacting my office expressing support for investigating President Bush and considering impeachment because you believe he deceived the American public about the need to use force against Iraq. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views with me.
I supported the President's decision to use force against Iraq and do not support impeachment.
Despite agreements among the international intelligence community, Republican and Democrat lawmakers, and both the Clinton and Bush Administrations that Saddam Hussein possessed WMDs, stockpiles of these weapons were not found.
I do not believe Presidents Clinton or Bush lied about the threat of WMDs. The President's decision, supported by most of Congress, including both of Connecticut's senators, was based on intelligence that turned out to be incorrect. The question is whether the United States should have given Saddam more time to prove he had destroyed his weapons. President Bush felt we had waited long enough, and I supported his decision to use force.
As Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, I've held more than 60 hearings on the terrorist threat -- 22 of them prior to September 11, 2001. There was no doubt in my mind on that fateful day, and there is no doubt in my mind today, that Saddam Hussein gave comfort and support to those who would destroy us and that for too long we failed to insist on the enforcement of United Nations' two resolutions governing Iraq's conduct. The bottom line is, Saddam Hussein needed to be removed from power, and the Bush Administration finally did so.
I am very concerned about the violence in Iraq and the welfare of our troops. As Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, I have made ten trips to Iraq because I want to learn first hand about the conditions there. These trips allow me to make an assessment of our operations in Iraq, independent of the Administration or the press; to make recommendations to the Administration on ways to improve; and advocate our positions to the Iraqis. It is clear to me while significant mistakes have been made and progress in Iraq has been slow and uneven, progress is being made.
We all know mistakes were made. We did not prevent the looting that took place when coalition forces first entered Iraq. It is clear we should not have disbanded their entire government, army, border patrol or police. The Department of Defense made grave errors by not procuring enough protective gear or armored vehicles for our soldiers. But it is vitally important to the future peace and prosperity of the Middle East and the entire world that the United States and its coalition partners fulfill their commitment to stabilizing Iraq before we withdraw troops.
Unfortunately, the Administration has done a very poor job of explaining to the American people our exit strategy.
The United States' strategy is to assist the Iraqis in creating a secure environment so they can develop their new democratic government and defend that government. American forces can be reduced when enough Iraqi police, border patrol and military personnel can take their place and their new government is fully functioning.
To support our efforts in training an effective Iraqi security force, I voted for H.R. 1268, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief, which passed the House by a vote of 368 to 58 and was signed into law by the President on May 11. This legislation provides $5.7 billion to train Iraqi police, military and border control agents. The bottom line is Iraqis want to defend their own country, and I strongly support the United States' commitment to ensuring that in addition to training, they have the tools and manpower necessary to do so.
The establishment of a new Iraqi government is progressing well. In June 2004, the U.S. transferred power to a sovereign interim government. In January 2005, elections were held, a President and Prime Minister were named, a transitional national assembly was formed and members were selected to write Iraq's new constitution. This Constitution was approved by a national referendum on October 15 with 63 percent of all adults voting and 79 percent of them supporting the new constitution. On December 15, 2005, new national elections were held with approximately 70 percent of those eligible to vote exercising that right and privilege.
You may be interested to know the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats, and International Relations has held several hearings on troop protection. Working through the Committee I will continue to conduct oversight on this important matter and pressure the Department of Defense to do a better job ensuring our troops have everything they need.
Our military's role in removing Saddam Hussein from power and ending his regime was highly successful, but the task of winning the peace and rebuilding Iraq should have been placed in the hands of the State Department much sooner instead of keeping it with the Department of Defense. Had this been done the looting would have been confronted and they would not have eliminated the Iraqi army, border patrol and police. Had the military remained focused on capturing the remaining elements of Saddam's regime and fighting terrorists, had the State Department been called upon to take a greater role in the reconstruction efforts, and had Congress asserted a greater oversight role granted to it by our founding fathers, I believe the creation of a new Iraq would have proceeded without such resistance and turmoil.

PROTEST RALLY against the DENIAL of the PEOPLE'S RIGHT to TRIAL BY JURY by CORRUPT JUDGES
On Monday, 30th January, 2006 at 8:30 am in Queen's Square, Sydney, Australia, at the northern end of Hyde Park and in front of the Law Courts Building, there will be a Protest Rally on the occasion of the Judges parading in public to celebrate the "Commencement of the Law Term" when they dress in all their robes and wigs to attend services at St. Mary's cathedral at 9:00am and later at the St. James's Church at 10:30 am.
The Magna Carta Monument in Canberra's Parliamentary Triangle says that "Magna Carta is now seen as the traditional mandate for trial by jury, justice for all, accountable government and no arbitrary imprisonment.". Trial by Jury is the People's only protection against injustice and oppression and has been guarantied to us since 1215. The "Charters of Liberty", which entrench that Right have been "Constitutional Enactments" in Australia since 1828. There is no other way the People can defend themselves against corrupt, unfair and inappropriate laws passed by State and Federal Legislatures and imposed by dishonourable Judges.

As the candidates begin their dog and pony show campaigns, notice, especially in the gubernatorial race, that none has mentioned the illegal alien invasion.
Hutchinson, of all candidates should be screaming the loudest—as legislator, Drug and Border Czars—he knows the immense crises we face in education, healthcare, law enforcement, drug and alien smuggling, vicious gangs, sex slavery, diseases, etc.—yet he says nothing and did nothing.
Beebe is silent too. Where are his serious questions and documenting of Asa’s egregious failures? Where are his words and actions defending our rule of law, particularly immigration laws?
Estimates of illegals range from 11 to 50 million, plus millions legally and on visas who never leave, most of whom are illiterate and/or hostile to our culture but imbued with a militant sense of entitlement…not from their countries, but ours. Who pays? The taxpaying citizen.
Don’t fall for it. “Leaders” who pretend nothing is wrong are beholding to the corporations who feed on slave labor, while outsourcing and insourcing American jobs.
This illustrates how far along the U.S. is to corrupt Third World status. Our scofflaw officials are no different than the crooks that run Mexico and other dictatorships. They pick and choose what laws and when they will enforce them—for a price!
The “culture of corruption” is not limited to the Republicans; it runs across the board in all government entities. No wonder the illegal invaders see nothing wrong with criminality. The rule of law is foreign to their cultures, and now ours.

Estimates of illegals range from 11 to 50 million, plus millions legally and on visas who never leave, most of whom are illiterate and/or hostile to our culture but imbued with a militant sense of entitlement…not from their countries, but ours. Who pays? The taxpaying citizen.
Don’t fall for it. “Leaders” who pretend nothing is wrong are beholding to the corporations who feed on slave labor, while outsourcing and insourcing American jobs.
This illustrates how far along the U.S. is to corrupt Third World status. Our scofflaw officials are no different than the crooks that run Mexico and other dictatorships. They pick and choose what laws and when they will enforce them—for a price!
The “culture of corruption” is not limited to the Republicans; it runs across the board in all government entities. No wonder the illegal invaders see nothing wrong with criminality. The rule of law is foreign to their cultures, and now ours.
